Birmingham Open Day on 5th July
You are invited to attend the Smith Brothers Birmingham open day to celebrate the relocation of the branch. The event will take place at Alpha Park in Smethwick on Friday 5th July starting at 11:30am. Please feel free to join us on the day. On the day the darts legend, Andy “the hammer” Hamilton, will be making a visit. You can compete and play darts against Andy and maybe win merchandise signed by the hammer. Andy was a former world finalist, was also a runner-up in the 2007 Grand Slam and 2013 UK Open.
Along with playing darts, there will be a golf competition and a raffle to win prizes including SBS merchandise. There will be a chance for you to meet and converse the Birmingham staff. Suppliers and manufacturers relevant to the industry will also attend, so you can find out more information about their products.
When you get hungry and thirsty, there will be a hog roast and drinks available on throughout the day.
Just over 11 years ago in 2008, SBS Birmingham was opened to service the Birmingham and West Midlands region. This was the sixth branch to opened within the Smith Brothers branch network. The Birmingham branch is now apart of a 14-depot network which located in the England and Wales areas. All Depots are encouraged to follow the SBS Promise of Stock, Service and Staff, meaning that with the relocation of the Birmingham branch, they can offer a wider variety of Stock, due to the bigger premises.
This is the latest relocation in a long line with Leicester, Head Office, Bristol and Oldham all moving to larger and more modern premises, after growing out of their current facilities.
Dave Taylor, joint Birmingham Branch Manager said “There has been a fantastic growth in business since opening the doors back in October 2008 to current day where we have gone from strength to strength. Our achievements have only been able to succeed with the backing of our board and the support of our suppliers, customers and most importantly our staff.”
