Since its launch in 2022, Smith Brothers’ award-winning online platform, www.sbsonline.net has been subject to continuous improvement in line with an ambitious development roadmap.
Today, approx. 2,000 customers are managing their SBS accounts online. Each benefitting from having 24/7 access to key account information and the option to order products online for same-day collection or next-day delivery.
Continuous improvement
The SBS online team continue to work diligently to improve the online platform, taking into account user feedback and aligning it with our development roadmap.
Since the addition of an eCommerce module last year, which enabled customers to order products online, the team has since been working to ensure every product available on www.sbsonline.net is more appealing, implementing imagery and key information/filtering functionality to improve our customers’ online purchasing experience.
Product sorting
The SBS Online team have implemented effective categorisation to streamline the user’s product filtering journey, ultimately saving customers valuable time. The team have so far worked through over 10,000 items and assigned filtering parameters to each. This includes product type, size, material and more.
Furthermore, our online product portfolio has been sorted into subcategories to guide our customer’s product selection process. For example, our air conditioning category has had a complete makeover, making each section more user-friendly and informative. The ACR Awards 2024 commemorated the work put into this particular category as the SBS online team won their “Customer Service Team of the Year” award, with www.sbsonline.net being the key factor within our nomination.
Individual products
Vital product information is accessible within each product where applicable, providing key details such as SKU codes, MPNs, EAN/GTIN numbers, and comprehensive descriptions. Additionally, accompanying documents such as data sheets, IOMs, WRAS certs, technical sheets, and Luckins links are seamlessly integrated for convenience.
The SBS online team are working with our supply chain to review every product available online to enhance product listings, including descriptions, available imagery, downloads and specifications. This is a vital ongoing process that improves user experience and helps the team highlight and resolve any inaccuracies and out-of-date information promptly.
24/7 access
SBS customers with online credentials have around-the-clock access to the portal, allowing them to manage their accounts, order online and view and download all account ledger information. Learn how to manage your account by viewing the short video below.
How do I access my account online?
Existing Smith Brothers customers can request online access here. Upon application, the SBS Online team will perform a short internal authorisation process before setting up the online account and assigning the applicant with a temporary password to access their account – it’s really that simple.
