This year’s HVR awards took place at London’s Tower Hotel on Thursday 24th October, where SBS won the Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year award, sponsored by Baxi Heating, for the 2nd Consecutive year.
The HVR Awards carry the torch for innovation and excellence from across the HVAC field; celebrating its successes and evolving year-on-year alongside its outstanding products, businesses and professionals. It has come to be recognised as the ultimate platform for acknowledging and rewarding hard work, brilliance and invention. The evening marked the 10th anniversary of the HVR awards and was presented by comedian Ian Moore, a regular headliner at London’s famous ‘Comedy Store’.
The very best from the heating and ventilation sectors were in attendance as the event marked the schemes biggest celebration to date.
Smith Brothers 2nd prestigious Hall of ‘Flame’ entry
SBS were delighted to retain the Baxi Heating Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year award which was first introduced in 2017. Entering the Hall of ‘Flame’ is a big achievement and we’re delighted to once again come home with a trophy that symbolises SBS’s continued presence, growth and success within the Industry.
SBS gained eligibility for the award as a distributer of heating and ventilation products within the UK who offer a one-stop-shop for engineers. The SBS promise of stock, service and staff throughout the business enables every member of staff within our 15 locations to offer an unparalleled customer service. We’re proud to see our ethos reflected by receiving the support needed from both customers and manufacturers within the industry to win the award.
SBS can add the award to a list of recent accolades such as being featured in The Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250, Leicestershire’s Top 200 Companies and the Leading Lights supplement produced by the Builders’ Merchants News.
SBS Contractor of the Year
Smith Brothers Stores supported the event by sponsoring the SBS Contractor of the Year award. The award was proudly presented by SBS Director Dave Wildman and was won by Protech Heating:- Established in 2008, Protech Heating Ltd have achieved sustainable growth by providing a flexible, reliable, and high-quality service combined with excellent customer care and client communication.
Having been introduced in 2012, the category is judged on work the contactor undertakes, such as: the cost of the contract, operations of the construction site, the contract program method, services control and the site’s health & safety.
Farmwood M&E and Servio Ltd were runners up on this occasion.
